Open Tech Summit Festival at TopLab

The OpenTechSummit (https://opentechsummit.net) brings together the most exciting ideas and makers of the open technology. Topics range from open hardware, Encyclopedia of the free knowledge, software development and free nets, up to questions about copyright and patents for company founders. For kids and enthusiasts there are workshops for makers. The first OpenTechSummit took place in 2009. 

On Wednesday 9th May, between 16.30 – 19.30 we invite everyone to experience TopLab through an exhibition of the current science projects and art pieces. Throughout the exhibition, we encourage thoughtful examination and interactive discussion of the ethical and society implications surrounding biotechnology. Alessandro Volpato, Mirela Alistar and Lisa Thalheim will give an introduction about DIYbio and the development of open hardware and software for research purpose.

The exhibition takes place at TopLab, Schillerpromenade 4, 12049 Neukölln, Berlin. The entry is free of charge (donations are welcome).
