We are launching the Marx reading group that will take place on one Wednesday evening every month!

Over the course of the year, we will slowly but surely digest Volume I of Capital. We plan to read the chapter(s) in our own time, and during the evening we will screen the corresponding David Harvey lecture from his online series (http://davidharvey.org/reading-capital/), interspersed with discussions. The format is, of course, open to suggestions and we can figure out what is most conducive to fertile discussions as we go!

You need not be a Marxist intellectual to join, rather it is chance for all of us who who are interested in Marx or Marxism to get together to explore his work in a group setting.

There will be cheap (proletarian) red wine available on the night, for a small donation, to accompany the discussions.
