This installation is a collection of the Grabowsee microbiome: bacteria from the hands of artists, from the forest, from the lake. These micro-organisms, of dimensions beyond the visible spectrum, are amplified to a visible concentration on Petri dishes plated with locally developed solid media. Read More

A midsummer night bio-dream

Bioluminescence is an intriguing phenomenon as it can be experienced only in pure darkness. It is only when we are away from the brightness of the day, when we let of our own light sources, only then we can notice the mysterious shining of the micro-organisms. For reasons still fully understood, some microalgae, bacteria and other living organisms produce light in various wavelengths (white, green, blue). Light is part of their beings, they use their own energy sources to shine. Their dedication can only be observed in darkness. Read More

Pop-up exhibiton and presentation of ‘Half Life’ Publication

 Half Life is a publication edited by Kaethe Wenzel and Manfred Blohm, about art works dedicated to machines, non-human organism and artistic positions in the context of climate change and extinction. The publication has a soft launch at Art Laboratory Berlin last July. After the successful publication launch, Top Transdisciplinary Project Space invites Kaethe Wenzel and Lisa Glauer to present their artworks and present their artistic positions. Read More
