Wie könnte man seinen Sonntag schöner verbringen als bei einer gemeinsamen Lesung über Kaffee, gefolgt von einem Einführungsworkshop in die Kunst des ‘Parkours’? Wir werden Matthew D. Lambs Text ‘Misuse of The Monument: The art of parkour and the discursive limits of a disciplinary architecture’ lesen, veröffentlicht im Journal of Urban Cultural Studies, und danach mit Paul vom Metropolis Parkour die Straßen unsicher machen (https://metropolisparkour.com/). Die Stadt spielerisch entdecken, sich körperlichen und mentalen Herausforderungen stellen und lernen mit Hindernissen und Angst umzugehen. Das und mehr macht Parkour aus. Der Workshop ist offen für alle – vorige Erfahrungen sind nicht notwendig!

Sprache: Die Lesung wird auf Englisch sein mit Flüsterübersetzungen wo nötig, der Workshop auf Deutsch/English, je nach Bedarf.

What better way to spend a Sunday than with some collective reading and coffee, followed by an introductory parkour workshop! We will read Matthew D. Lamb’s text ‘Misuse of The Monument: The art of parkour and the discursive limits of a disciplinary architecture’, published in The Journal of Urban Cultural Studies, and afterwards we will take to the streets for a Parkour workshop with Paul from Metropolis Parkour (https://metropolisparkour.com/). Paul describes Parkour as the challenging and creative physical interaction with the environment and its structures. The workshop is open to all and attention is paid to differences – no prior experience necessary!

Please print and bring your own copy of the text if possible. We will have a couple of spare copies in case you are unable to.

Language: The reading will be in English, the workshop will be in German/English as needed.
